What's up and welcome to me, you, and Switch 2. I am me, Tom Tate, and you are you. So let's talk about Switch 2. This is the latest and greatest

Nintendo Switch 2 news brought to you every Tuesday and Friday in snackable five to 10 minute episodes. Today happens to be Tuesday.

It is October 13th. It is 7.57 a.m. on the East Coast, and this is episode 143.

So we've got some quick updates today. It was a pretty quiet weekend.

We've got some new games that released. We've got a couple new game and demo announcements that I caught.

And I also read a featured interview with Devin Pritchard, who is the president of Nintendo of America over at Variety.

So let's get right into it. We'll start with that.

The big headline that came out of that Devin Pritchard interview was tied to GTA 6.

So there was a comment about GTA 6, and that's kind of like all the ancillary headlines that I saw were all about this one comment, which was actually quite small.

Everyone just has GTA on the brain. So the quote from the article is, is the Switch 2 tent big enough to accommodate Grand Theft Auto 6 with its M rating for adult content and themes due out in November and the most anticipated gaming title of the year?

The console certainly has the horsepower to host the M rated GTA 6, but for now, Pritchard won't say if the title is coming to the platform.

That's going to be a conversation for Take-Two and Rockstar, but nothing to announce on my end at this time, Pritchard says.",

So other than that, this really wasn't a very substantial article, and she gave a very non-answer for the GTA 6 question.

She also touched on the wide appeal of Switch.

They mentioned they wanted to appeal from ages 5 to 95, a little bit of commentary on Zelda's 40th anniversary, and a little bit about the theme parks.

I'll link to the article in the show notes, but there really wasn't much there to dig into.

Obviously, we are just a month or so away from GTA 6, and it's not currently releasing on Switch 2.

I do think it's interesting to read from that article that they said it has the horsepower for it.

I don't know if that's true, honestly, if it came down to it, but I appreciate the confidence there.

We had a few recent releases over the past couple of days. Dragon's Dogma 2, Dark Arisen is out.

Digital Foundry, who will frequently do a technical deep dive of Switch 2 ports, they had some positive things to say about Dragon's Dogma. They said it arrived in good shape.

They also said that it even surpassed Xbox Series S in some areas.

So I'll link to that article if you want to check it out.

There was a game that released yesterday called Colorbound. This is releasing for Switch 1, but it's also getting a Switch 2 edition. It's only $14.99.

It has some really nice, it has this like hand-drawn retro art style aesthetic.

It almost looks like a painting.

Here's the description from the official Nintendo site.

In Colorbound, color is more than just hue. Bring the world around you to life with the power of color.

In Colorbound, a vibrant palette platformer, join Anku on a heartfelt journey to reunite his late grandfather's band by using color to shape the world around you.

As you journey, you'll solve puzzles, uncover secrets, and help a family of musicians come together one last time.

So I'm sharing this one explicitly because we do this roundup of all of the games coming out for the month. And when we did the October roundup, this wasn't on my radar at all. This wasn't listed in the beginning of the month.

So this is a bit of a shadow drop as far as I can tell.

I'm sure it was announced previously, but we didn't know the dates and here it is.

The Nintendo Switch 2 features, you'll get frame rates increased from 30 frames per second to 60.

And there are additional levels that can be unlocked, which are exclusive to the Nintendo Switch 2 edition. That's pretty cool. You don't see that too often where you actually get additional content added to the Switch 2 edition.

So I caught another announcement. Maybe this isn't a new announcement, but this is a game called Moto X.

This is actually a Super Nintendo game, a legitimate Super Nintendo game that was never released and it looks very similar to Excitebike.

This one's coming to the Nintendo shop for $4.99. It'll release this week.

It doesn't look amazing. Like this doesn't look earth shattering like this long lost amazing Super Nintendo game. I just think it's cool that a forgotten game is finally getting resurrected.

A few other quick hits. so atlas released a prologue demo for metaphor refantasio you can check that out nintendo life had a few reviews up for recently released games they did reviews for bluey's happy snaps and middle earth shadow of mordor game of the year edition two wildly different games but both of them got an eight out of ten i'll link to those reviews if you want to check those out for those two games again that's bluey and the shadow of mordor game of the year edition, last but not least I caught a very cool trailer.

This game popped up on Nintendo's official YouTube channel. It's called Waltz and Jam.

Now, here's the description. Waltz and Jam arrives on Nintendo Switch 2, December 3rd, 2026.

Join Waltz, a pure-hearted soul, and Jam, his shape-shifting dog, on an action-adventure journey through seven hand-painted storybook worlds.

Solve puzzles, defeat spooky bosses, and uncover secrets lurking beyond the page.

This game looked pretty cool. Like this is a pretty impressive 3D platformer.

Kind of reminded me of like Astro Bot or Mario Galaxy type game.

Very nice art style. I'm going to keep an eye on this one. Waltz and Jam.

If it has Nintendo's seal of quality to go on their YouTube channel, that's good enough for me.

I think that's it for today. Pretty quick one. I'll keep an eye out for the news throughout the week. I'll be back with the latest and greatest on Friday.

I hope that you have a fantastic week. Thank you so much for your time and your attention.
